And here come the rest

These are my last four panels of drawings etc. that I did for DrawMo! It was fun, and I think I even improved in some areas during the course of the month! Too bad I withdrew from NaNo, but other stuff came up and the drawing did take up quite some time.. especially because I didn't always feel like it XD

Aaaaaaaand here we are at the end of Drawmo! I hope you did better than I did! Actually it wasn't as bad as my posted drawings show. My total comes to 28 draws and a lot of it's anatomy/drapery sketches that my scanner made to look like I'd scattered a few iron filings on the scanner glass. I tend to sketch light. Or maybe I just have a sucky scanner. But they didn't come out very nice and so I said 'bugger it' and posted this instead.

So did you manage to do both challenges and keep sane, the writing and drawing? I got in about 55k for writing, 28 draws.

DrawMo batch

Here's a collage of week three, the apple I posted already, it isn't a strikingly similar rendition. XD I currently have two WIPs running, plus a load of stuff from this week already - trying my best to manage the 50!

Time to catch up..

So uh, yeh! Things happened. I backed out of NaNo, I lacked inspiration but also something else came up that I need to work on and that is taking up some time. But I'm still trying for the DrawMo. I'm behind there too, but tomorrow I'll sort out how much more I need and get some more done.
Till then, here are a couple more works. A couple of abstract paintings that made me realise I never really like painting like that, and a digital apple from a still life study.
Edit: forgot one. An ostrich.

Don't get excited girls. Anyhow, this didn't spring from my own demented brain, but copied from 'some artist' I say that cause I wish I knew the artist, but the original image is something I plucked from another blog and so maybe I'll work tin eye and see what I come up with. This is the style I love to strive for and I copied not only the lineart by hand but also eyeballed the coloring to see if I can get away from my tendancy to draw 'flat' color. I tend to chicken out with contrast.

But original or copy, he's kind of a hottie huh? I can see this design as a pirate real easy.

Oops, forgot to update!

Here are my drawings for days 5 and 6, I didn't manage anything on day 7 because I was out all afternoon and took all evening trying to write my NaNo. xD
I censored the anatomy one for dA but forgot to save a normal picture of it, and I don't want to hook up my camera again so I'll replace it with the normal picture next time. (Anatomy nudity allowed here? It's barely visible anyway. xD)

Day 4 - what to draw?

The first of these was a commission of sorts and therefore probably only amusing to the person who requested it - something I whipped up in Corel. The second started out as me mindlessly doodling, not knowing what I wanted to draw, and turned into a monster. I added the kid for cuteness. xD

Aila's Day 3

Had a better day drawing-wise; the first is a reffed landscape drawn for a weekly drawing challenge at another forum, then I did a quick reffed sketch of a deer I photographed on holiday last summer.

After I drew the first critter, my daughter requested a 'balloon dragon' per her favorite dragon egg site, Dragon Cave. Or something like that. Anyhow the very name inspired the second lil' critter and she says it came out pretty close to the original.

Aila's stuff!

Well now I seem to have gotten over my 24-hour drowsiness it's time for me to post! On day 1 I did two referenced animal sketches, which turned out fairly well. Day 2 was a disaster (for writing too), so I only did one reffed sketch and it turned out miserable. Hopefully I'm back up to par today!
